Rules of Participation:

Updated: Feb 22, 2022

1. Participants are required to reach all 10 summits by foot before midnight, 31 December 2022 to qualify for the medal of recognition and T-Shirt.

2. Registration fee of R200 (includes 2 group hikes at no additional cost) A fee of R55 per group hike applies, payable through Quicket. Group excursions will be scheduled for the first Sunday of every month. Additional costs may be applicable to cover accommodation/ camping for the Saturday night prior to the climb/ trek. This will be communicated in advance and payable through Quicket.

3. Independent attempts are allowed should a participant(s) be unable to attend the group trek. This will, however, be subject to registration for the challenge, the registration fee of R200.00 and permission obtained through Mpumalanga Mountain Goats as most of these peaks are situated on private property. Please be aware that trespassing is considered a criminal offense and if a summit is attempted without prior arrangement, it will lead to immediate disqualification from the challenge. A record of the climb (on Relive, Strava, etc) to be sent to Viana on Whatsapp 0835017662 after summit has been reached.

4. Group excursions are not professionally guided so hikers participate at own risk. Mpumalanga Mountain Goats and relevant land owners will not be held responsible for any loss or injury incurred. Needless to say, hikers are encouraged to stay on the path or with the group, and avoid veering off on their own. Independant hikers are encouraged to go in groups of two or more. Solo attempts are to be avoided.

5. Participants are required to have a valid South African Passport as Mount Mlembe, which lies on the border between SA and Swaziland, will be attempted from Swaziland side.
